Tape Library Field Repair Service
We know how critical a tape library reporting errors or failing entirely can be for any company
No network administrator can relax when they know their data is not protected by a recent backup and an offsite repair is not always easy to arrange for large libraries.
With many Tape autoloaders and libraries being cumbersome and difficult to handle, it is often easier to have and engineer arrive on-site and carry out the repair in situ, rather than temporarily decommission your tape library, box it, and then ship it.
Even finding suitable packaging is often difficult and how do you protect your critical data in the mean time?
Our Tape library field service enables us to despatch an engineer to any site within the UK to evaluate, test and repair your tape backup system and have you backing up your data again quickly.
In most cases the engineer will carry all the relevant spare parts to get your system up and running again by the time he leaves site.
Even if our engineer is awaiting a specialist part for your library, we can install one of our large stock of loan tape libraries to ensure your data stays protected throughout.

Tape Library Field Service
Out of Hours Service
If required, we can arrange for your Tape library field service to take place out of hours when data access is at its minimum load or simply more convenient. Whilst many tape library repairs can be easily performed with the tape library in-situ, occasionally we may need to remove the unit from the rack for repair on a bench. Many systems admins prefer this to be done out of hours to minimise disruption.
Because your library is repaired on-site, we bring our own diagnostic hardware with us to fully diagnose and test your library. Alongside your network administrator we can further test the library in your test or production environment to prevent firmware and software compatibility issues causing you further delays.
Our engineers cover the entire of the UK for tape library repairs and installations. We realise not every tape library is located within the M25 or the south. So from John O’Groats to Lands End, we can get to your site and resolve your fault, quickly and easily.
